2010-01-14 The principles of sound therapy On January 25-27 a specialist in the realm of Art and Music of Antiquity, Iegor Reznikoff will deliver his lectures on "The principles of sound therapy" in German University in Armenia. Professor at the University of Paris, he is also invited to teach regularly in several prestigious Conservatories but also in religious communities. One also owes him a new and fundamental approach to sound therapy, in particular that of the human singing voice, giving rise to remarkable and efficient clinical applications for certain pathologies. The following subjects will be discussed during the lectures: * Sound perception in the body, * Subtle hearing and deep consciousness of sound. * Hearing and emission of harmonic overtones. * Just intonation of natural intervals. On this base of fine perception and hearing and of just intonation, we learn some chants from modal ancient traditions. This approach gives the foundations of sound therapy; we discuss the practical, clinical aspects as well as the theoretical ones.
