The St. Gregory the Illuminator Church was built in the middle of the XIX century. The remains of the first priest of the Church, Ter Ghazar and his four brothers are buried in the church-yard. In the 1920s’ the church was locked by the communists and converted into a club. In 1930 the church was destroyed. In 1988, after lasting struggles, the reconstruction of the the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church began and was completed in 2000, due to the financial means and efforts of the countrymen.
From the old building only the arch of the western entrance, the southern door with the arch and the upper part of the arch of the St. Altar were preserved. All the other parts beginning from the foundation to the dome were entirely reconstructed.
